This is a PORTER original fan, commissioned from Miyawaki Baisenen, a long-established Kyoto fan maker founded in 1823. Miyawaki Baisenen has been manufacturing and selling almost everything in-house since the Edo period, and continues to pass on its traditions and techniques to this day. The fans they produce are all attractive, combining functionality and beauty in terms of feel, opening mechanism, weight, and ease of use. The fan surface comes in two colors, olive and navy, and features the PORTER logo and "Porter-kun" on the front and back. The included strap is an original braided cord and can also be used as a hand strap by hanging it around your wrist. The fan case is made of PORTER's signature nylon twill fabric and comes in a presentation box with silver foil stamping. The fan itself is scented with musk, which is characterized by its gentleness and warmth. This fragrance is an original blend created by Miyawaki Baisenen from four types of fragrances. By infusing a small amount of fragrance into the tips of the central ribs of the fan frame and letting them dry for 2-3 days, then inserting the ribs into the fan's paper, the volatile fragrance is sealed in, allowing the scent to last for a long time. This is an exceptional product that combines the traditional techniques of Miyawaki Baisen-an with the design and functionality unique to PORTER.
