``PORTER GUARD'' is a leather casual series that uses highly water-repellent leather with water-stop zippers to enhance functionality and design. The combination of water- and oil-repellent embossed leather with Scotchgard and a water-stop zipper featuring zipper tape with a pattern similar to leather grain enhances not only functionality but also design. The main material is domestic adult cow hide. After chrome tanning, the tanned leather is re-tanned using a combination of synthetic tannins and vegetable tannins to enhance the firmness of the leather and the shrink embossing. Scotchgard chemicals are applied to the leather at the same time as the fatliquing process, and a fine shrink embossing is applied to the finish to enhance the compatibility with the zipper tape pattern. The embossed leather has just the right amount of firmness and is also characterized by less noticeable scratches. The main zipper and three-dimensional front pocket are sewn with YKK Aqua Guard zipper tape, which has a three-dimensional leather grain-like pattern, which is a design point of the series. The metal fittings are treated with glossy black nickel, giving it a polished and luxurious finish. The parts that adjust the shoulder straps and backpack straps are engraved with PORTER. The brand tag is also shrink-processed and has a textured texture that matches the luster of the black nickel metal fittings.
