This elegant leather accessory series features the delicate double-stitched details found on leather dress shoes. The cowhide leather is chrome-tanned, then tanned and resin-infused into the fibers for a fine finish. It is then flattened and smoothed in a vacuum dryer, rubbed, and coated with paint and synthetic resin. The lustrous, moderately soft leather exudes a luxurious feel. The interior is crafted from horsehide, the same leather used for lining leather shoes. Depending on the style, a fine double stitch is applied to some stitching using a two-needle sewing machine, similar to shoemaking. The wallets, card cases, pen cases, and clutch bags also feature a stitching method inspired by the dogtail* heels of leather shoes. Wallets, coin cases, pass cases, and ID holders feature sewn-in loops with double rings, reminiscent of the pull loops found on boots when putting on and taking off shoes. *Dogtail is a type of "ichikawa" (traditional leather) in which a piece of leather is sewn onto the heel seam to reinforce it, as pressure is placed on the heel when putting on and taking off shoes. It is called dogtail because its shape resembles a dog's tail.
