METSÄLAMPI, meaning "forest lake" in Finnish, has an abstract design that exudes a mysterious charm. This design, created by Minagawa specifically for this collaboration, reveals rounded curves reminiscent of water ripples on one side and triangular lines representing a coniferous forest on the other when folded in half. When unfolded, a single piece evokes the rich forests, mountains, and waterside scenery of Finland, creating a design with a sense of storytelling and depth. The way it is folded changes its appearance, making it a textile that offers new insights every time it is used in daily life. The washed linen material is washed during the manufacturing process, giving it a soft texture and smooth feel from the very first use.
