"Candy Flower" is a playful embroidered textile featuring flower stems depicted with diagonal borders reminiscent of candy sticks. The flower centers are given a three-dimensional effect by layering embroidery threads to create volume and depth, while bowler embroidery is scattered around the flowers. The simple stitching, reminiscent of handcrafted work, adds a warm and inviting touch. This plain gathered skirt showcases the embroidered textile beautifully. It is made from a fabric with a small check pattern, woven with silk and fine-count cotton threads in both warp and weft directions. By utilizing the difference in shrinkage rates of the different threads, a natural crinkled texture spreads across the surface.
