Both the exterior and interior are crafted from 'Vacchetta' leather, tanned by a tannery affiliated with the Vegetable Tanning Consortium in Tuscany, Italy. Tanned using traditional methods, 'Vacchetta' leather is characterized by its soft feel and beautiful lustre that develops with use. By adding oil and then "blank beating" the leather in a special machine, it develops a unique textured shrunk leather. To fully appreciate the quality of the material, the wallet features a luxurious two-layer construction. The zipper and hardware are nickel-plated for a luxurious look. The edges are finished using a technique called "reverse stitching," which creates a thicker edge for a rich, dignified look.
