With the details of the U.S. AIR FORCE nylon flight suit "FLYING SUIT / TYPE K-2A" manufactured in the early 1950s as a motif, the greatest characteristics of military gear are "practicality, functionality and durability." The material of this series was inspired by the flying suit of the time, and it is a completely original product that was newly developed from thread to structure with the high technology of Made in Japan. Nylon filaments that are strong against friction and flexibility, smooth and shiny, are woven in an Oxford pique style that combines high density and lightness. The surface is treated with a sillage treatment to give it a unique luster and firmness. Each item incorporates the details found in military items of the time, while incorporating specifications that fit everyday life. For the main fastener part, a full tanning cowhide leather pull is attached to the wire automatic slider, and for the other fastener parts, a semi-automatic slider pull with an original PORTER engraving is used. All models except for the string strap (17043) have an original specification tag sewn on a woven label that describes the standards for procuring military supplies. The original Insignia “P.Y. AIR FORCE” is printed. For metal parts other than fasteners, we have adopted a special coating agent "CERAKOTE", which is mainly composed of ceramics and is currently used by the US military. This is a convenient 2-way briefcase for everyday business use. Although it is compact, it is made with a convenient pocket for organizing subdivided items. Inspired by the foot hem of the “FLYING SUIT / TYPE K-2A”, we adopted an original specification that expands the gusset width according to the luggage capacity. The shop-limited color “Air Force Blue” is based on the color of the flight suit at the time, which was the motif. After repeated trial and error, we were finally able to reproduce this calm, deep color. Combined with the shiny nylon filament, it has a unique texture.
