The Ark series is not bulky and can be easily used not only for everyday use but also for outdoor activities and travel, and has been updated with master-piece's original fabric.
The main fabric is made of high-performance nylon twill treated with master-piece's original special water-repellent coating m-coat™, providing excellent water repellency and durability.
The main material is a high-strength 66 nylon with a 70d warp thread and a 210d weft thread, woven into a high-density twill weave and dyed using a high-pressure jigger.
After that, we apply a special water-repellent treatment called m-coat™️, which is an original water-repellent treatment by master-piece. m-coat™️ is not only much more water-repellent and abrasion-resistant than conventional water-repellent treatments,
Unlike conventional water-repellent treatments, this process uses a special technique to structure the water-repellent agent on the fiber surface, resulting in excellent water repellency and durability.
The water-repellent properties of many water-repellent products weaken with repeated use and washing, but m-coatTM maintains a grade 4 rating in the Bundesmann water-repellent test even after 100 washes.
For water repellency, we conduct the Bundesmann test (※), which is more rigorous than the spray test (JIS-L1092) used in conventional measurement standards.
